It's Best Foot Forward For Linden Homes' Fundraising Site Manager Nick

Swapping hardhat and heavy-duty boots for running gear and trainers – site manager Nick Robinson has been pounding the streets of Lincoln in aid of a cause very close to his heart.

Nick, who is based at Linden Homes Midlands’ Cygnet Place development in Witham St Hughs, completed the Lincoln 10km - along with his partner Dawn Dye - raising an estimated £1,000 for their chosen cause.

Nick and Dawn, who have also received a donation for their efforts from Linden Homes, are raising funds for the neo-natal unit at Lincoln County Hospital.

Nick – who completed the 10km course in 45.52 minutes - said: “The unit and the staff do an amazing job. They looked after our children Charlie and Rebecca when they were born six weeks prematurely in 2010.

“Charlie weighed 4lbs 13oz and Rebecca weighed just 3lbs 4oz. The help and support we received at the hospital made a very difficult time easier to bear, and the neo-natal unit gave Charlie and Rebecca the medical care they needed to help them survive their first few weeks.

“We cannot thank the staff enough for the help they gave us and thought raising funds to help them continue their work would be a good way to show our appreciation.

Nick added: “Charlie and Rebecca are now coming up to their fifth birthdays, both fully fit and healthy. We wanted to raise funds to help the neo-natal unit continue the important job it does with other parents and children faced with a similar situation to the one we found ourselves in.

“Dawn and I wish to thank everyone who has supported us.”

Nick has also received lots of good wishes from customers, visitors and the rest of the Linden Homes team at Cygnet Place, where 50 new three and four-bedroom homes are being built.

Witham St Hughs is located on the edge of the A46, around eight miles from Lincoln and nine miles from Newark – making it convenient for commuters.

The sales and marketing suite are open daily from 10.30m until 5pm. Alternatively contact the sales team on 0844 644 9763.
