Youth Environmental Adventure enterprise, Camp Kernow is celebrating the success of its first year of sponsorship from west county new home builder partner, Linden Homes.
Based in Turo, The Future Roots Project has already worked in over 80 schools inspiring over 7,500 pupils.
Charlie Nicholson, Camp Kernow’s Director said:
“Linden Homes has provided valuable support to Camp Kernow in bringing a programme of exciting and innovative workshops around sustainability to children aged 7 to 14.
“The Future Roots Programme enables children to gain practical, hands-on experience of renewable energy technologies and discover how their application can help contribute to a cleaner planet.
During workshops children assemble and test kits for a range of renewable energy technologies including wind, solar, wave and hydro. They also uncover how their personal choices and actions can have an impact on the environment and together, explore ways in which they can take positive action to contribute to a more sustainable world.”

“We are delighted to support an initiative that encourages children to be aware of what sustainable living means.
