Moving to a new home and unpacking numerous boxes can be a challenge in itself, but it was a breeze compared to wading through freezing water and tackling a gruelling ‘mudstacle’.
Company boss– and recent Linden Homes West Yorkshire customer – Paul Parkinson has been part of a top team to raise over £3,000 for a worthy Harrogate charity.
Paul, MD of locally-based Synergy Automotive, was among a 12-strong group of wet and muddy ‘Yorkshire warriors’ who have help to boost coffers for the Rainbow Fund, a charity which raises vital funds for the children’s departments of Harrogate District Hospital and its special care baby unit.
Synergy Automotive is the corporate partner of The Rainbow Fund, and has pledged to raise £5,000 for the charity by July 2017.
And with Paul having recently moved into a brand new home at Linden Homes’ Harrogate development, the Hessle-based house builder has also made a donation to the cause.
Paul said: “We had been warned that the10k course was not for the faint-hearted – and we realised how true this was when we were wading through freezing water.
“That’s where our fantastic team spirit came to the fore as everyone encouraged their colleagues over the obstacles. It was a great sense of achievement when we crossed the finishing line together.
“Huge thanks to everyone who has supported us so far, including Linden Homes for their generous donation.”
