Linden Homes recently welcomed first-time buyers Amy and Henry to Park Gate, its new development on the outskirts of Kidderminster. The couple, both 23, chose a two-bedroom home at the scheme, which sits in Lea Castle, close to the villages of Cookley and Wolverley.
For Amy and Henry, the location was ideal, and the pair fell in love with the picturesque setting. Being surrounded by countryside but only a 10-minute drive to Kidderminster and midway between their families, who are based in the Birmingham and Worcester areas, made Park Gate a perfect location.
Amy, a nurse, and Henry, a learning and development facilitator, both work in Birmingham and the commute from Park Gate is easy for both of them.
As well as being in a great setting, the Hardwick house type they chose comes with a large living room – perfect for when friends come over – and an ensuite, which adds a sense of luxury that was beyond the couple’s expectations for their first home together.
“We love living on the Park Gate development as it is so calm and quiet,” says Amy. “Being set back so far behind the trees feels safe and means the views from our house are lovely. It is a great location and is central to many amenities and there are lots of picturesque walks not far away.
“Our overall experience of buying our new home has been fairly smooth; everyone was super friendly and helpful and went above and beyond to help.”
