John Hemming, MP for Yardley, has this week taken time out of his busy schedule to visit a new housing development in Garrets Green, to cut the first sod.
The Liberal Democrat MP visited ‘The Laurels’ – a Linden Homes development on Sheldon Heath Road, which will soon play host to 100 contemporary-designed two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom homes – 50 of which will be released for sale.
Linda Huntington, sales manager for Linden Homes, comments: “These new homes will, no doubt, be welcome news to those who are currently living to the east of the city or would like to move onto the property ladder in and around the Yardley area.
“We’re very grateful that Mr. Hemming could visit our new development and it was a pleasure to be able to give him a tour of the site and demonstrate how the new development will take shape in the next 12-18 months.”
Speaking of his visit, Mr. Hemming commented: “I was very pleased to be invited along to see the site where the new development of homes will sit and to cut the first sod. As an active member of the local community in Yardley, it is pleasing that new properties are being built here to ensure the future housing needs of local communities are met.”
