The housebuilder invited local businesses, schools and residents to get involved in its work to collect non-perishable food after the festive period. The items have been passed to nearby food banks that will provide emergency supplies and assistance to local people who are referred to them in crisis.
The additional food bank collection points were opened at Linden Homes’ head office in Exeter and its new developments at:
Emma Colin, sales and marketing director for Linden Homes South West, commented: “We were delighted with the amount of food donated, some developments managed to collect more than others but it was fantastic to see the local communities working together.
“There is often a drive to help charities in the run-up to Christmas and so we wanted to offer some additional support afterwards. We’d like to thank everyone who helped and as it was a successful initiative, I can definitely see us doing it again.”
