Site Manager Paul Takes Pride In The Job For Linden Homes At Oakham (2012)

GOING the extra mile is a phrase often overused – but not if you are Linden Homes site manager Paul Mott.

Based at the company’s Orchid development at Oakham, Paul has been overseeing and ensuring the quality and excellence of the site, and has just received an industry award to prove it.

Paul was among 16,000 site managers from around the UK to enter the annual NHBC Pride in the Job award, and one of just 450 in the country to reach the Quality Award stage.

Judges used a range of categories on which to base their results, including site presentation, quality of build and finish, knowledge of building and organisational skills.

Paul said: “I’m delighted to have reached this stage in the competition and as a site manager I feel it is important to go that extra mile to ensure the quality and overall appearance of a development, and Orchid is a site I am extremely proud of.”

Paul has now been invited to regional dinner in Leicester later this month when he hopes to be one of 23 regional site managers selected to receive a Seal of Excellence Award.

Of that number, the top four will then be presented with a regional award before progressing to the finals in London in the New Year.

Linden Homes’ production manager Don Burley added: “The whole team is really pleased for Paul, he has done an amazing job at Oakham and we wish him all the best in the next round of this prestigious industry competition.”
