Regional House Builder Appoints New Director To Head Up Land Team

Developer Linden Homes Midlands has appointed Verity MacMahon as its new land director.

Verity joins the team, based at the Peterborough head office, with over 12 years’ experience in the industry.

Prior to taking up the post at Linden Homes, Verity worked for a number of private and PLC housebuilders in various land acquisition roles and has also had some experience of working agency side.

Her most recent role was head of land and planning for a national developer in the Suffolk area.

Verity said: “I have been involved with both immediate and strategic land opportunities ranging from 10 dwellings to 4,000+ dwellings.

“The majority of my experience has been within the geographical areas of Essex, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and Suffolk and so some areas of the patch that I will now be covering at Linden Homes Midlands will be new to me.

“However, getting to know the new patch and working with different local planning authorities, landowners and land agents is one of the challenges that I am looking forward to in the new role.”

She added: “My goals are to expand the land and planning team at Linden Homes Midlands and secure a number of new sites moving forward for the business for 80+ units with or without planning that are in good sales locations.

“Also, I am keen to build on my existing working relationships with landowners and agents and to build up a network of new contacts with those land agents covering the Midlands patch.”

Verity lives in Newmarket and her hobbies include horseracing, travelling and running - and she has just completed the London Marathon.
