Piet Rewarded For Site Management Excellence
08 Oct 2019

The site manager at one of Linden Homes Midlands’ most successful regional developments has been rewarded for his professionalism with a National House Building Council (NHBC) award.

Piet Cloete (pictured) won a Quality Award in the first round of NHBC Pride in the Job Awards 2019 then went on to win a Seal of Excellence Award too.

Now in their 39th year, the awards are highly regarded in the house-building industry, dedicated to recognising site managers who achieve the highest construction standards.

Piet, who oversees the Buckby Grange development in Burton Latimer, Northamptonshire, said: “Progressing so far in this industry competition means an incredible amount to me, but it’s been a team effort to maintain such high standards. Without everyone’s commitment we couldn’t achieve a really well run and highly successful sell-out development or deliver top quality homes.”

Linden Homes Midlands production manager Andy Pearce added: “Pride in the Job recognises the hugely important role site managers play in delivering high quality new homes and receiving a Quality Award is a great achievement for any site manager.”

The 450 Quality Award winners across the UK represent the top three per cent of the 16,000 site managers entered into the competition.

Skills judged cover six key areas: consistency, attention to detail, leadership, interpretation of drawings and specifications, technical expertise and health and safety.
