Nursery Children Help Developer Go Back To The Future With Time Capsule Project
27 May 2015

Having opened the doors to a new Northamptonshire development just a few weeks ago – Linden Homes has enlisted the help of mini Time Lords to help mark a milestone in the town.

Youngsters from the Acorn Day Nursery have been getting creative with their very own time capsule, using the exciting project to think about themselves and the area in which they live.

A group of children from the nursery, under the guidance of manager Natasha Pateman and her team, have spent the past few weeks producing and selecting items for the time capsule – which has been buried close to the sales and marketing suite of the Centurion Grove development.

The children – who made the short trip to the site off Kingfisher Way - included drawings of themselves, their own artwork, local area information and a nursery and Linden Homes Midlands development brochure among the time capsule items.

And after the hard work of burying their 2015 treasure, they were treated to refreshments in the sales and marketing suite, served up by sales executive Eileen Irwin.

Nursery manager Natasha Pateman said: “The children have had a lot of fun putting the time capsule together and deciding what they want to include. Items range from self-portraits and other drawings, the local newspaper, photos of the staff and information about the nursery and details about the Linden Homes development.”

Linden Homes Midlands area sales manager Warren O’Callaghan added: “Our huge thanks to the children and staff at Acorn Day Nursery for the effort and enthusiasm they have put into producing such a fantastic time capsule – marking a milestone for us as we build our development in Burton Latimer.

“It does seem such a shame to bury the capsule, but exciting to wonder who may discover it in years to come.”

Centurion Grove is conveniently positioned less than half a mile from the heart of Burton Latimer – overlooking the pocket park and river.

It will showcase a collection of four-bedroom homes in a location that will meet educational, leisure, recreational and other needs.
