New Play Park Open At Meldon Fields

A new play park has just been opened at Linden Homes’ Meldon Fields development in Okehampton.

The fantastic new facility was unveiled at a ribbon cutting event with the 1st Okehampton Brownies, Rainbows and Guides Group and members of the local community.

Bradley Davison, managing director at Linden Homes, said: “We’re pleased to have opened the new play park at Meldon Fields. Unfortunately, due to the hilly land, there were some surface water drainage issues and these needed to be addressed before the park was opened. We want to thank the residents for their patience and understanding while these essential works took place – the park has now been issued with a RoSPA safety certificate and is a great facility for the local community.”

Nicola Street from 1st Okehampton Brownie Group said: “The children enjoyed taking part in the ribbon cutting event and it was fun for them to do something quite different in an official role! They were delighted to be involved.”

The surrounding open space is now being finished. Linden Homes is creating new homes throughout the south west.
