Linden Homes is delighted to sponsor the annual Selsey Open Gardens Day, which takes place on Sunday 22nd June 2014 from 11am to 5pm. The day has been organised to raise funds for St Wilfrid’s Hospice – a local charity-funded hospice in Chichester – and for the Alzheimer’s Society – the UK’s leading support and research charity for people with dementia, as well as for their families and those who care for them.
The event involves following a trail showcasing the stunning variety of gardens (many of which have wheelchair access) in the town, from award-winning organic vegetable gardens to beautiful beach-side plots featuring wildflowers and rose gardens. Plants and refreshments will also be sold throughout the day.
The pretty coastal town of Selsey is less than ten miles from Graylingwell Park in Chichester, a scheme developed by a partnership between Linden Homes, Affinity Sutton and the Homes & Communities Agency and one of the UK’s largest carbon neutral developments.
Natalie Flint, sales and marketing director of Linden Homes, comments: “We’re delighted to support an event in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society and St Wilfrid’s Hospice. Many of our residents at Graylingwell Park already support St Wilfrid’s Hospice as it is so nearby and Alzheimer’s is a devastating condition that affects so many people. We’re absolutely thrilled to sponsor an event that benefits two brilliant charities, one local and one national, and we hope everyone will get behind the day to help raise lots of money for both.”
Tickets are priced at £5.00 but children under 12 years enter for free. Previous years have seen hundreds of visitors flock to this event, raising over £3,542 for the supported charities.
When complete, Graylingwell Park, will comprise approximately 750 new homes, set within 85 acres of parkland, just one mile from Chichester city centre. The latest phase of homes at Graylingwell Park, The Farthings, has just launched and comprises newly built homes and refurbished homes in the original period buildings. Help to Buy will be available. Please contact Linden Homes on 01243 781494 for further information.
