Linden Homes Helps Arty Students Show Off Their Grand Designs
16 May 2013

TALENTED youngsters from Hessle will be putting their grand designs on show to the public next month – with a little help from developer Linden Homes.

The Hessle-based house builder is again supporting the annual display of art and design work by students from Hessle High School.

Around 100 pupils, studying for qualifications in GCSE and Btec art and A-level textiles, photography and product design will be displaying their work at Country Park Hessle in June.

Linden Homes is sponsoring the Art for Art’s Sake exhibition for the second consecutive year, which will give members of the public, the students and their families and local business people the chance to view the work on Wednesday, June 19.

Sue Walker, technician from the art and design department at the school, said: “The exhibition, which has grown over the past five years, is a fantastic opportunity for the students to display their work in the areas of textiles, art, photography and product design.

“We are very grateful to Linden Homes, who have a well-known and respected presence in Hessle, for their generous support.”

Linden Homes sales director Steve Woomble said: “We are delighted to once again support this initiative which provides a wonderful showcase for the very talented arts and design students we have in Hessle.”
