Linden Homes Celebrates Local Labour In Newton Abbot

Linden Homes has been celebrating local labour in South Devon this week with a surprise ceremony for local bricklayer, Larry Guilfoyle.

Linden Homes, part of the Galliford Try Group, joined Contour Brickwork in congratulating Larry on his commitment and dedication to the construction industry.

Galliford Try chief executive, Greg Fitzgerald joined Derek Tinney, of Contour Brickwork, to surprise Larry on site, presenting him with a gold plated trowel, to commemorate his loyal service to both companies.

Greg Fitzgerald, Galliford Try Executive Chairman, said: “Larry is an extremely talented bricklayer and a true gentleman who can’t do enough for anyone and all with a constant smile upon his face. I am delighted to be a part of this celebration, recognising his hard work and commitment over the last 33 years.”

Larry Guilfoyle started his career in 1982 with Midas Homes, which later became part of the Galliford Try Group. After 33 years in the industry Larry is as dedicated as ever and currently working for Contour Brickwork on Linden Homes’ Webster Place development in Newton Abbot.
