Happy Horncastle Family Buys Second New Home On The Same Development

With a growing family and the need for more space, Simon and Nicola Fawcett were faced with a decision to move to a bigger home.

However, they loved the development they currently live on so much – that they decided to buy another house at the same location.

Injection moulder Simon (42) and learning mentor Nicola (36) are now settled in their spacious home, allowing children William (11), Ella (9) and Fleur (9) the opportunity to stay close to friends and school – and each having their own bedroom!

Nicola explained: “We really enjoy living in a central location to the town centre, which is also a short walk to the local primary school.

“The development has been a happy place to live, where people look out for each other and the children can play. It's like a little community of its own.

“The home we have now purchased was like the original show home on the first development, but were not able to buy the first time around. We were excited when the plan was to build more in the same design, and decided to try and take the step up this time.

“We have loved living in our first home, but as a growing family we were keen to get more space.”

The couple, who say they received a first class service from the Linden Homes team, used Part Exchange to upsize to their new four-bedroom home.

Nicola explained: “We used part exchange with our first Linden home and were happy to use the scheme again.

“Everything went very smoothly. The recommended solicitors have been amazing and nothing has been too much trouble. Linden also allowed us to erect our shed in advance of moving day and also gave us some days to stay in our existing home to make the move easier, allowing us to move over a few day which was invaluable.”

Nicola added: “Our new corner shaped house is very spacious. The children now have a bedroom each and we have a beautiful family kitchen/ diner to enjoy family time together.

It has been exciting to watch our new home being built from our window, and we have hundreds of photos to log the journey. It had also been a valuable experience for the children, to learn how their house is built step by step the whole team has been happy to explain.”
