Raising their game, and their new look – are the Stamford Ladies football team, following a boost from developer Linden Homes Midlands.
With a victorious league game under their belt, and a brand new kit; players, managers and coaches are looking forward to a great rest of the season in the Cambridgeshire S-Tech League (Women’s North).
The team, which is made up of players aged from 18 to 35, trains each Thursday evening in Empingham, and was recently presented with a fresh new strip, thanks to Linden Homes.
Player Kerrie Ann Holden-Jones is in her second season with the club, and works as a buyer for Linden Homes in Peterborough.
She says the whole team is thrilled with the support. “The sponsorship of a new kit was massively needed this season, and we were hugely grateful to Linden Homes for their generous support.
“Everyone delighted with the new kit, which we will keep for a minimum of two years and hope that it brings us luck on the pitch.”
This is the latest local community engagement project by Linden Homes, which started life in Stamford (as Stamford Homes) some 65 years ago.
It continues to build quality and stylish new homes in and around the area, with the latest phase of the Red Hall Gardens development in Bourne launching in a couple of months.
A collection of 46 of two, three and four-bedroom homes – located close to the town centre – make up the development, which boasts wide appeal among first time buyers, young professionals, families or those looking to move closer to their workplace.
