Research published last month concluded that, of all activities available in this day and age, the simple activity of walking is the best exercise for keeping you healthy.

The study, carried out by The London School of Economics, found the positive effects of brisk walking were especially pronounced in the over fifties. It also revealed that digging and chopping wood had a similar effect.
