Housebuilder Linden Homes has opened the doors to Saffron View, providing an initial insight into what life at Saffron Walden’s biggest development scheme might look like once construction completes.
The award-winning developer has launched two new show homes on site next to Radwinter Road, a pair of five and four-bedroom houses known as The Fordham and The Hawkwell, respectively.
The Fordham is a stunning three-storey detached house with an open plan kitchen and dining area, a downstairs bathroom and at the front of the house, a study and living room. With its own garage and integrated kitchen appliances, The Fordham also comes with a 10-year NHBC warranty for buyer peace of mind.
The Hawkwell is a contemporary, three-storey semi-detached property with a spacious kitchen and dining area, its own cloakroom, a single garage and allocated parking spaces. The Hawkwell’s first floor has an additional living room for families, and the first bedroom comes with its own dressing area and ensuite.
Although Saffron View properties have been available to buy off-plan from Linden Homes’ nearby Meadow Gardens development since May, this latest launch is the first chance for potential buyers to receive a guided tour of the site from one of the sales team. The opening alone saw 28 visitors, a mix of first time buyers and families to the site.
The show homes are just two of what will eventually be a 200-property development, a range of two, three, four and five-bedroom houses.
Linden Homes has also already confirmed that all three of its exclusive financial incentives will be offered on selected properties at Saffron View, including Help to Buy, Part Exchange and Assisted Move. Both The Fordham and The Hawkwell are available with Part Exchange.
Commenting on the launch, sales and marketing manager Roseanne Bullen said: “Having previously launched Saffron View’s sales from the Meadow Gardens marketing suite, it’s fantastic to now be selling on site and give people a much clearer impression of what their future home could look like.

The properties at Saffron View are part of Uttlesford District Council’s wider mixed-use scheme, also including business space, care home provision, public open space and land for a new primary school. The development at large is set to bring a substantial amount of jobs and investment into the local economy.
The sales and marketing suite is open from 10am – 5pm Monday – Sunday.
