For the second successive year in a row, award winning house builder Linden Homes has sponsored Finchampstead Football Club’s kit in a new deal worth £2,000. To celebrate the partnership, the team’s mascot, Finchley took on Lenny Linden – Linden Homes’ mascot in a penalty shootout during the first weekend of October.
Finchampstead FC, is a family focused club consisting of 400 members serving the village and nearby towns including Crowthorne and Wokingham. The club boosts 30 teams including two adult teams that play in the Hellenic League. The club remains a partner of Reading FC and have recently achieved the FA Standard Charter Status.
Richard Laugharne, the club’s chairman was thrilled to be signing with Linden Homes for another year:
“We’re a very busy club with lots of members who work extremely hard behind the scenes. This generous injection of cash offers Finchampstead the financial security other clubs at our level lack, whilst there was still enough left over for a new kit.
“Our club aim is for our players to have fun, make new friends and learn the game so inviting Lenny Linden to take on Finchley, one of our newest players, was a great fun way to kick off the season. Lenny was a formidable opponent!”
