Creative Schoolchildren Play The Name Game With Regional House Builder
04 Jul 2017

Helping with the creation of a new community was the name of the game for imaginative youngsters from Tockwith Primary School.

With the construction in the early stages at the coming soon Oak Park development, Linden Homes West Yorkshire issued a fun challenge to schoolchildren to suggest road names for the site, in conjunction with the parish and local council.

While the developer says it was a difficult task to select just a few winners, the Linden team settled on:

Bramblegate Road – suggested by Joseph Curry (year 1)

Bunting Drive – suggested by Isaac McDonald (year 2) and Mila Naylor (Year 5)

Cowstail Lane – suggested by Year 6 pupil Lydia Murphy.

The youngsters – who were each presented with a £25 voucher – were invited along to the site to see the current progress and meet members of the Linden Homes West Yorkshire team; Rob Martin, senior technical co-ordinator, Kev Dutton, site manager, Kath Wright, technical administrator and sales and marketing manager Cherrill Whiting.

LHWY sales manager Pat Tennyson said: “Our huge thanks to the pupils and teachers at Tockwith Primary School for embracing the competition head on and suggesting some really great street names. Sadly we weren’t able to choose them all but congratulations to our winners.”

Oak Park will comprise a number of one, two, three, four and five bedroom homes. To register your interest contact 01423 582954.
