Bring A Little Extra Christmas Sparkle To The Children At Basingstoke Hospital

Leading housebuilder Linden Homes, behind developments including Longacre in Basingstoke, is inviting local schools, businesses and residents to get involved in bringing some festive cheer to the children’s wards at Basingstoke Hospital this Christmas.

The housebuilder is calling for a range of gift donations, unwrapped to help the hospital make sure the children get appropriate presents and suitable for boys and girls from babies to teenagers. The housebuilder will deliver the gifts to the hospital in the hope of brightening up the Christmases of the children that will unfortunately be spending Christmas in hospital.

For those looking to donate, the gifts can be dropped off to Linden Homes staff at Longacre on Winchester road by Wednesday 11th December, ahead of the housebuilder’s team hand-delivering the gifts to the wards before Christmas.

Trevor Wicks, Managing Director for Linden Homes Thames Valley, commented: "As many of us are starting our Christmas shopping and getting set for the festivities, there are children and families facing a difficult Christmas this year whether because of serious illness, injury or medical conditions.

"We would like to invite those living or working local to Basingstoke and the surrounding areas to get involved with this project and help us, to help those in need this year. The community here is one with real spirit and that’s why we are reaching out to help support such a worthy cause."

The hospital would be delighted to receive any gifts for children of all ages, including cuddly toys provided they are brand new and labelled.
