There will soon be an opportunity to buy a beautiful new home in the lovely village of Charlton Marshall in north Dorset. The collection of homes, which is being built by Linden Homes in what was known as Walker’s Field, will be on the western edge of the village next to the old Somerset and Dorset railway line – which is now a trailway for walkers and cyclists.
The homes being built at ‘The Old Orchard at Charlton Marshall’ will include three bungalows, each of which will have its own garden; there will also be a two bedroom apartment and a selection of two, three and four bedroom houses.
All the homes will be built in a traditional style – with many of them being arranged in a terrace formation. And although traditional in the way they look, these homes will also include some very contemporary features such as bi fold and patio doors. Some of them will have their own garage.

Work will begin on The Orchard at Charlton Marshall later this year and it is hoped that the first residents will be able to move in mid 2015.
Charlton Marshall itself is not only a beautiful village, but it is also well located: It is two miles from the market town of Blandford Forum and lies on the A350 which links Poole with the M4.
