Award-Winning Guildford-Based Housebuilder Takes On Mountain Marathon

A 40 strong team from top-10 housebuilder, Linden Homes and Galliford Try Partnerships has completed the mammoth Housebuilders Mountain Marathon Challenge. The team covered a gruelling 26 miles across the rugged terrain of Snowdonia in North Wales, raising over £30,000.

Five members of the Linden Homes South team based in Guildford took part along with other housebuilders in the industry. The money raised by Linden Homes will go to the Youth Adventure Trust. The Trust helps vulnerable children, aged 11 to 14 years old whilst giving them the chance to take part in a number of residential adventure camps. The programme enables the participants to experience success and learn to go beyond their own expectations whilst growing in confidence.

Part of the Linden Homes South team was Yuved Bheenick, senior land and planning manager. He said: “Raising such a large amount of money for such a worthwhile cause has really made two days trekking across Snowdonia in the blustering wind and rain worth it! The challenge was no mean feat so reaching the top was a great feeling of achievement.”

Phillip Chapman, Managing Director of Linden Homes South, commented: “It’s important to give back to both local and nationwide initiatives so it was great to have Yuved alongside Robin Pearmain, Zak Yates, Conor McCormack and Stephanie MacDonnell take part in the challenge. The whole team have managed to raise a lot of money for a fantastic charity so we’re extremely proud of those who have shown great determination in completing such a mammoth challenge.”
