Another Chance To Buy At Nash Mills Wharf
10 Oct 2013

For those who missed out on buying a home at Linden Homes’ and Crest Nicholson’s ever popular Nash Mills Wharf development near King’s Langley, there is very good news.

Together, the house builders will be launching their new Lockside apartments in November.

This latest phase consists of around sixty one and two bedroom homes which are all built to the renowned high specification common to all Linden Homes. Every one of them comes with beautifully finished bathroom or shower rooms and fully fitted kitchens. The kitchens include an integrated fridge/freezer, oven and hob, dishwasher and washer/dryer.

Nash Mills Wharf is set alongside the Grand Union Canal close to both King’s Langley and Hemel Hempstead. Some of the new Lockside apartments will have lovely views of the beautiful surrounding countryside; all of them offer space and security in a location that is on the doorstep of the great outdoors.

The Wharf is surrounded by the Chiltern Hills, an area of outstanding natural beauty, yet it is extremely well located for commuters: From nearby Apsley station you can catch a train to Euston getting you into central London in just half an hour. The M25 is just five minutes drive away, the M1 ten minutes away.

The new Lockside apartments are close to Nash Mills School, Abbot’s Hill Girls’ School and Hemel Hempstead School.  They are also within easy reach of the busy Hemel Hempstead high street, with its Tudor and Georgian architecture: The town also has a busy theatre, a gym and a spa.

All of the new Lockside apartments at Nash Mills Wharf qualify for the Government’s new Help to Buy scheme which came into force on April 1st.

This is a Government backed equity scheme that enables buyers to purchase a new home with just 5% deposit and a 20% Government equity loan – a loan that can be repaid at any time within the first 25 years and it is interest free for five years.

Hayley Clark and Henry Jones used the scheme to buy a Linden Homes’ one bedroom apartment and say the scheme proved to be very straight forward:

“We assumed that we wouldn’t be able to afford our own home yet - and everyone knows how difficult it can be to find that first deposit. But the Help to Buy scheme meant that it was possible for us. If it hadn’t been for the scheme we would both still be living with our parents.

“My advice to someone in the same position is ‘Go for it’: It’s very simple: There aren’t lots of forms to fill in and it was genuinely hassle free, which is what you want when you are buying a home.”
