A local family has gained an extra bedroom and a garage, thanks to the Help to Buy scheme.

Claire, 40, moved to a beautiful new three bedroom house at Linden Homes’ Tithe Barn development in Exeter with her two sons aged 12 and 14 years. Commenting on her experience, Claire explained: “We owned a two bedroom flat in Whipton and hadn’t considered buying a new home before but my friend kept telling me how amazing her new house was. She loved that everything was so clean and fresh and there was no decorating to do.

“I visited Tithe Barn and couldn’t believe that we could get an extra bedroom and a garage by using the Help to Buy scheme. Our downstairs is lovely and open plan, the garden gets the sun all day and my boys have their own bedrooms, so it’s been a wonderful move for us all.

"Our home is in the perfect location as I can pop back for lunch when I’m working, my boys can walk to school easily, my parents live nearby and it’s a really peaceful area.

“We’re so happy at Tithe Barn. The whole site team has been fantastic; nothing is too much trouble and I actually miss them now that they’ve finished building in our area. The sales team are very approachable, keeping me informed every step of the way and I’ve also been impressed with the after-care service.

“I’m so grateful to my friend for recommending me and I feel incredibly lucky as the whole process was so quick and easy. It’s given us the space we needed and I’m not great at decorating and DIY so it’s brilliant not to have to worry about that for now!”
