Linden Homes Western is experiencing a surge in interest from home buyers since the launch of the Government’s new Help to Buy** scheme.
The initiative is open to all qualifying home buyers of new-build properties in England up to the value of £600,000 – not just first-time buyers.
Sue Scholfield, Sales Director, said: “We have seen a lot of interest in Help to Buy at our Kingston Mills development, The Island, in Bradford-on-Avon, and we have already helped a number of home buyers get on – or move up – the property ladder.”
Under the scheme, the Government provides an interest-free loan for the first five years of up to 20% of the property value. This means that, with a minimum deposit of 5%, a new home can be secured with a 75% mortgage. The Government loan can be repaid at any time or on the sale of the property.
