Why make Leicestershire your home?

The county of Leicestershire is diverse and offers something for everyone. From its bustling market towns to expansive, unspoilt countryside, Leicestershire is quite simply a great place to call home. The county centres around the city of Leicester, which serves as the thriving hub of the county. With its award-winning attractions, excellent shopping facilities and year-round cultural events including festivals, theatre productions and live music, there’s never a shortage of things to see and do in this vibrant city. The city is also home to the University of Leicester, a leading university that attracts students from across the country and internationally. Approximately 12 miles north of the city is Loughborough University, named University of the Year by The Times and Sunday Times University Guide 2019.

Surrounding the city are Leicestershire’s many market towns, each offering a unique selection of attractions, amenities, and outdoor spaces. The historic market town of Melton Mowbray, famed for its pork pies, is a popular destination for tourists and residents alike. Other notable towns include Ashby de la Zouch, Hinckley, Market Harborough, Lutterworth and Coalville, all of which are popular places to live due to their close proximity to the city and excellent schooling. Anyone looking for a new home in Leicestershire will be spoilt for choice in this diverse county.

Getting in, around and out of Leicestershire
