Linden Homes’ Double Donation Set To Save Lives And Support Local Event
11 Jun 2018

Award-winning housebuilder, Linden Homes has made a double donation to the community of North Bersted that will not only help to potentially save a life, but will also bring some fun to the local community.

The first donation from Linden Homes has included the purchase of a defibrillator device for the village - an essential piece of lifesaving equipment that could help someone experiencing a cardiac arrest. Obtained on behalf of Bersted Parish Council, the defibrillator will be outside the front door of Jubilee Hall and has been registered with the South East Coast (SeCam) Ambulance, and is available for public use in an emergency.

The second donation of £1,000 has been made to the Bersted Parish Festival. Linden Homes will be joint sponsor of the event which takes place on 18th July at the Jubilee Fields. With a wide range of music, activities and attractions, the 2018 festival is set to be a great event including a diverse range of entertainers such as the Sussex Steel Band and the Barnham Ukulele Group. Other attractions will include a giant inflatable slide, bouncy castle, dog agility displays and much, much more!

Brian Knight, Chairman of Bersted Parish Council, said: “The defibrillator has enabled us to provide another service to the public and the donation to our Parish Festival, on the 18th July, has enabled us to provide a day of continuous entertainment for our Electorate and the wider public. As a result, we are now able to use the funds granted by our Community Resources Committee to support other functions in the Parish.”

This summer Linden Homes will be launching an exciting new collection of homes, with one and two-bedroom apartments and two, three and four-bedroom homes to its recently acquired site, Mulberry Fields, in North Bersted. In addition, there is provision for a large area of open space, including a new local equipped area of play (LEAP) and two new Local Areas of Play (LAP).

Jo Dixon, Linden Homes South marketing manager, said: “Bersted is such a lovely community and we were delighted to help with the purchase of a defibrillator for the village. You never know when lifesaving equipment like this will be needed and to have one available for public use is vital to potentially help someone in need.

“The Bersted Parish Festival meanwhile, is a fantastic occasion, bringing the community together. Of course we would like the new residents of Mulberry Fields to eventually enjoy this event so we were delighted to be able to provide our support.”

Construction of the new homes at Mulberry Fields is due to begin in the summer, with a sales launch in the autumn. To register your interest for these homes and be the first to find out more, visit the website.
