The festive season has resulted in some early Christmas cheer for the congregation and supporters of an East Yorkshire church.
The village of Cherry Burton has welcomed the news that St Michael’s Church is to receive a new entrance and doors, including disabled access, following fundraising totalling £15,000 by The Friends.
Among the many local businesses to offer continued support to the cause is Linden Homes East Yorkshire, which is currently building a range of new homes around the region.
As part of its on going commitment to supporting local communities and good causes, the developer has ‘sponsored’ a Christmas tree as part of a project by The Friends of St Michael’s Church to make Christmas merry and bright for the whole village.
Linden Homes East Yorkshire sales manager Julie Hubbard said: “We have been very happy to once again offer some financial support to The Friends and their on going commitment to providing church goers with extra comfort and convenience.”
Chair of The Friends, Paul Staniford, said “Our huge thanks to Linden Homes for their generosity for the second consecutive year.”
