We’re celebrating one of our upcoming developments winning Best Scheme in Planning and Overall Winner at the National Housing Awards.
Our St Clements collection, which includes the UK’s first urban community land trust, was recognised for its strong partnership between Linden Homes, architects John Thompson and Partners, the Greater London Authority, the East London Community Land Trust, and Peabody.
The unique development is set to transform the Grade II listed St Clements Hospital site in Mile End, Tower Hamlets, into a vibrant new neighbourhood of 252 open market and affordable homes.
Kate Connell, director of National Housing Awards said: “The National Housing Awards were delighted with the standard and high quality of the submissions this year and would like to congratulate all those involved in the winning scheme, St Clements project.”
Andrew Richards, managing director of Linden Homes Group, said: “St Clements is a pioneering scheme. It’s a new way to create high quality homes where people want to live, surrounded by a flourishing community.
“It’s very encouraging that having helped to lead the way with the UK’s first urban community land trust, our efforts have been recognised by experts in the industry. We’re very proud of St Clements and the model may be one that others will look to follow.”
