Youngsters from a school in Brixham, Devon, learned lessons in selling from the professionals at one of our South West region’s developments.
About 120 pupils from Eden Park Primary School Academy visited Orestone View in Goodrington, Paignton, to pick up tips to improve their persuasive writing and presentation skills.
The trip was part of the nine to 11-year-olds’ selling homes project, and they viewed floor plans, development layouts and inspected a completed show home.
Teacher Suzie Green said: “There was a real buzz when we left Linden Homes; the children loved looking around the show home and the inspiration they gained has been reflected in their attitudes and work, so it was a very valuable visit.
“We have asked the children to design a concept board to sell their own homes – taking photos and writing about them, which will then be displayed at Boyce Brixham estate agents andOrestone View’s sales and marketing suite.”
Emma Mackay, Linden Homes South West PR manager, added: “We love having schools visit us on site, some of the pupils ask some really interesting questions and make some very imaginative suggestions – it’s great to see them so inspired.”
