Our latest contribution towards attracting more women into the property sector was to support this year’s Women in Property Christmas Cocktail party in Leeds.
We jointly sponsored the event on Thursday December 4th with Taylor Wimpey, drawing more than 100 Women in Property members, guests and national chairwoman, Elspeth Burrage.
With the industry experiencing a skills shortage and widening gender gap, recruiting more women could be part of the answer.
Andrew Richards, Linden Homes Group managing director, said: "Women only represent 15 per cent of the workforce in the property sector so there is still a way to go. At Linden Homes we are raising awareness of the career opportunities available and proactively seek to encourage new talent into the business."
Linden Homes’ Jennifer Winyard, WIP Yorkshire & North East branch chairman, added: "As an organisation, WIP supports Property Week's Open Plan campaign, which seeks to tackle diversity.
“It challenges business and organisations to rethink their policies from graduate recruitment right through to the boardroom. We are very optimistic about the impact this campaign will have on the industry.”
We only use composite front doors which are insulated to lessen heat loss from our homes.
Linden Homes has contributed over £1.2 million to health care services in the UK since 2010.
