Seven site managers at Linden Homes developments around the country were honoured in this year’s Pride in the Job Quality Award.
They were recognised by the National House-Building Council on a shortlist of 430 compiled from over 13,000 site managers across the UK. They will now go through to compete against the rest in their categories for the Seal of Excellence and regional awards.
They were scored for the quality of workmanship on their site at every stage of the build, and also their leadership, technical expertise, robust health and safety processes, and whether they had a certain “X factor”.
Winning awards were Peter Baker for his work at King Harry Park, St Albans, Hertfordshire; Paul Mott at Orchid, Oakham, Leicestershire; Karl Bray, at Orchard Grove, Ruislip, Middlesex; and Lance Kipping, Sandy lane, Teddington, London.
Other winners were Paul Townsend at The Regent, Battersea, London; Steve Green, at Fernley Park, Uckfield, East Sussex; and Bob Mitchell, at Rowes Meadow, Totnes, Devon.
Linden Homes Group managing director Ian Baker said: “We pride ourselves on taking the lead in quality so to have so many of our site managers recognised for their skills and dedication is a real encouragement.”
