We boosted a charity by more than £6,000 when we donated furniture from one of our show homes to sell at their fundraising shops.
The almost brand new items were sent to some of Children’s Hospice South West’s 19 stores through the region. They gather much-needed money for the trio of care centres it provides near St Austell, Barnstaple and Bristol.
The organisation is our South West region’s charity of the year. Its hospices help families with children suffering life-limiting or life-threatening conditions, providing precious memories and vital support.
Naomi Dymond, corporate partnerships fundraiser for Children’s Hospice South West, said: “We are thrilled that Linden Homes has donated so much furniture and dressing items. We were delighted to get the call that we could have the furniture but we didn’t realise just how much there was.
“The furniture is practically brand new – the beds hadn’t been slept in, the kettles hadn’t been filled and the pieces were all very fashionable. The donated furniture is making such a difference to us, we really are very grateful.”
Nigel Palmer, managing director of Linden Homes South West, said: “It’s fantastic that the furniture will go to good homes and will help raise much needed funds for Children’s Hospice South West.”
Every piece of timber in your house is sustainably sourced timber. This means that new trees are planted to replace those cut down.
All of our homes come with Smart Meters. These have the capacity to automatically send readings to your energy provider.
