The men in our Midlands region have embraced Movember by shelving their shavers for a month of moustaches.
Directors and staff from the commercial, technical and production teams have promised to grow their ‘taches to raise money for the Mo Bros charity, which collects every year to fund research into prostate cancer.
Over 40,000 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer ever year and 250,000 men are currently living with the disease. It is the most common cancer in men in the UK.
The idea to ditch the razors for the month of November has come from Chris Harris, who heads up the commercial department at Linden Homes’ head office in Peterborough – and he has enlisted a ‘tache force to assist him, with the aim of building on last year’s £600 total.
Chris said: “It’s a great cause and a bit of fun too. This is the kind of fundraising event that gets people talking and hopefully donating to the cause.”
