Pupils were challenged to design their own building site safety poster after a visit to our Roman View development in Greens Norton, near Towcester in Northamptonshire.
The youngsters from Greens Norton C of E Primary School learned all about housebuilding and how to avoid hazards when they went on the trip with their teachers to meet site manager Glenn Smyth.
The seven to nine-year-olds were shown construction machinery at work and took part in a building and safety quiz before being tasked to come up with their own designs for a safety poster.
It will eventually be displayed at our sales and marketing suite at the development which features a range of one, two, three and four-bedroom homes set in a private cul-de-sac.
Linden Homes Midlands managing director Chris Bond said: “It’s always a pleasure to have pupils from the community visit our developments and see how homes are built and learn important safety lessons too.
“Designing a safety poster is an excellent way for them to take these life-saving tips back from the trip and pass them on to other people too.”
