Residents to make their mark in Colour Road Rush

We joined in with our parent company, Galliford Try, to invite members of the public in Devon to a very unusual celebration of a brand new local link road.

The fun event on August 1st is a three-kilometre run along the South Devon Link Road in aid of the Rowcroft Hospice charity. It’s been called the Colour Road Rush because entrants will have washable paint lobbed at them by cheering spectators along the way.

The route is under construction after spending more than 60 years in the planning before Galliford Try was tasked with building it.

There will never be another chance to run along the route so, with only 1,000 spaces available, people are being urged to register as soon as possible. It is open to anyone aged 13 and over.

Nigel Palmer, managing director for Linden Homes South West, said: “As part of the Galliford Try Group, we’re thrilled to be involved in this exciting event.

“We contribute a huge amount to the area, in terms of homes and infrastructure, and we’re delighted to be celebrating the work in such a colourful way – raising much needed funds for a very worthwhile charity.”

Giles Charnaud, chief executive of Rowcroft Hospice said: “I am delighted Rowcroft Hospice is working with Linden Homes and Galliford Try to stage this event on the new link road.”
