Putting the kettle on for Macmillan Cancer Support

Our Chiltern region put the kettle on and got fundraising for the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

We joined thousands of people up and down the country who on September 27th all provided coffee, tea and cake to collect money for the good cause.

At Chiltern’s head office in Harefield we collected over £150 and served an array of cupcakes, flapjacks and brownies that would make even Mary Berry proud.

The nationwide Macmillan event has been running for 23 years, and last year 115,000 volunteers signed up as hosts for the event, raising £15 million.

Linden Homes Chiltern marketing manager Naomi Burrell, who organised the local event, said: “Everyone loves a cuppa and a cake, and it tasted even better by supporting a really good cause at the same time.”

Every piece of timber in your house is sustainably sourced timber. This means that new trees are planted to replace those cut down.

The blocks we use to build your home are the most energy efficient available and 80% of material within the blocks is recycled material - this saves heat loss from our homes and thus reduces CO2 emissions.
