Play time: (l-r) Galliford Try’s Jon Young, Linden Homes’ James Hurford and pupils William and Nate
Play time just got more fun for pupils in Bristol who now enjoy brand new playground equipment thanks to funding from our Western region and parent company Galliford Try.
Children at Ashley Down School’s Federation, Brunelfield site, Bishopston, were thrilled to try out the new outdoor challenges when they returned for the summer term.
Galliford Try project director Jon Young and Linden Homes Western commercial director James Hurford dropped in to try out the equipment for themselves and see how much the kids enjoyed it.
James Hurford said: “We are committed to support the communities around our developments and it’s been great to see the enthusiastic response to the new playground.
“We are pleased that our contribution will help the learning experience for all these children.”
The primary school is next to Gloucestershire County Cricket Ground, where Galliford Try has constructed Linden Homes’ Living @ the Bristol County Ground development.
The scheme of 147 one and two-bedroom apartments forms part of the exciting redevelopment of the Gloucester County Cricket Ground.
