Pedathlon team: (l-r) Jennifer Winyard, Andy Byrne, Sam Amies and Andy Devine
Keen cyclists from our North region are doing their bit to celebrate Yorkshire and confirm the region as a cycling centre of excellence.
A team from our Hessle-based operation took part in the high-profile Carter Jonas Yorkshire Pedathlon, a 40, 70 or 90-mile cycle ride set against the stunning backdrop of Ripley Castle.
The second event of its kind saw around 200 riders from 40 local businesses help boost funds for local good causes, including the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and Land Aid, as well as celebrate Yorkshire produce – with food stations along the way showcasing food and drink from local suppliers.
As donations continue to pour in, organisers of the event are hoping to build on last year’s total of £15,000.
Leading the Linden Homes North team was land director Andy Byrne, who was joined by strategic land and planning manager Jennifer Winyard, production manager Andy Devine and assistant quantity surveyor, Sam Amies.
Andy said: “This is a fantastic event which brings together members of the business community and keen cyclists in a fun and social climate, whilst raising money for good causes and profiles the local area.”
The benefits of buying new make the choice easy. Here are just a few:
