Loud: town crier Geoff Shearsby joined by Linden Homes staff and the Pocklington mayor and mayoress

A gathering of community VIPs gave us plenty to shout about when town crier Geoff Shearsby loudly announced the opening of a new show home in Pocklington.

Mayor Cllr Martin Ratcliffe and mayoress Elinda Ratcliffe were among the local dignitaries, guests and potential buyers invited to the special event at The Balk development – where the unveiling was done at maximum volume!

There was also the opportunity for visitors to enter a free draw to win one of a number of prizes donated by local businesses – including a glider flight over the town.

Linden Homes North sales manager Julie Hubbard said: “We’ve seen a huge interest in this development from the start, and are delighted to have already welcomed a number of residents.”
