Opening the door to a career in construction

Saxon Gardens: visitors will be welcome to book into an open day on Friday March 6th

Saxon Gardens: visitors will be welcome to book into an open day on Friday March 6th

For people aspiring to a career in construction, our Midlands region is hosting a special open day next month.

The Open Doors initiative on Friday March 6th and Saturday 7th is part of a nationwide scheme to reveal how the industry works, and we’ll be inviting visitors to our Saxon Gardens in Huntingdon on the Friday.

Local colleges are also being invited to attend the event, and experts will be on hand to give advice and guidance to guests and those looking seriously to pursue a career in construction.

Linden Homes Midlands production manager Graham Atkins said: “Open Doors offers a unique opportunity to have a behind the scenes look at major construction sites across the country and the wonderful range of things it covers.

“We are delighted to be opening the doors to our very popular development in Huntingdon to showcase various elements of the construction word, giving visitors the chance to see and meet the people who make it all happen.

“So whether you are thinking about work and a career, or just curious to see what goes on behind those big hoardings, Open Doors will have something for you.”

Three sessions will take place on Friday March 6th: 9.30am-11am, 11.30am-1pm and 2.20-3.50pm. For more details contact Victoria Barlow on 01733 396631 or email
