A team of mini time lords were enlisted to help our Midlands region mark the arrival of a new neighbourhood in Northamptonshire.
Youngsters from the Acorn Day Nursery in Burton Latimer created their very own time capsule to bury near the sales and marketing suite at Centurion Grove after using the exciting project to think about themselves and the area in which they live.
Included among the time capsule items collected by children – who made the short trip to the site off Kingfisher Way – were self-portraits, their own artwork, local area information and a nursery and Linden Homes Midlands development brochure.
Nursery manager Natasha Pateman said: “The children have had a lot of fun putting the time capsule together and deciding what they want to include.”
Warren O’Callaghan, Linden Homes Midlands area sales manager, added: “Our huge thanks to the children and staff at Acorn Day Nursery for the effort and enthusiasm they have put into producing such a fantastic time capsule – marking a milestone for us as we build our development in Burton Latimer.
“It does seem such a shame to bury the capsule, but exciting to wonder who may discover it in years to come.”
