A visiting MP praised our Western region’s contribution to tackling the housing shortage when he was given a tour around two fast-selling developments in Bristol.
Stephen Williams, who represents Bristol West, inspected the Purifier House and The Boat House collections of apartments in the city’s harbourside area.
Technical director Tim Smale, sales director Sue Scholfield and members of the site team guided Mr Williams through the developments and discussed a number of issues concerning the economy and the housebuilding industry.
Mr Williams said: “I was delighted to have the opportunity to visit Linden Homes. For some time now, many of us have been calling for a boost to be given to house building, especially the building of affordable homes.
“As part of building a stronger economy and a fairer society, my party in Coalition Government have put in place measures to support home ownership, new development and affordable housing, alongside reforms to the planning system. Both the Purifier House and The Boat House, located on our beautiful harbourside, are a testament to that.”
Sue Scholfield added: “We always welcome the views and feedback of the local representatives in and around the areas we work, particularly regarding the house building industry and the current economic situation.
“We are extremely proud of the development which has become one of the fastest selling schemes on the harbourside in Bristol.”
