Celebration: Paul ‘Captain’ Kirk and his crew of colleagues and fundraisers
Our Midlands region celebrated a colleague’s 30th year working at Linden Homes by going back to the eighties in aid of a good cause.
Staff at our Peterborough office joined long-serving quantity surveyor Paul Kirk by dressing up in costumes inspired by the era when he was first recruited, to raise funds for the Sue Ryder care charity.
Nicknamed ‘Captain Kirk’ by colleagues, Star Trek outfits made a big appearance on the dress down day, and there was a cake sale too to add even more to the pot.
The fun event was part of Linden Homes’ season of fundraising activities in support of Sue Ryder’s Thorpe Hall Appeal in Peterborough – with the next planned event being a charity golf day in October.
Linden Homes Midlands managing director Chris Bond said: “It was really nice to recognise Paul’s years of effort in such a fun way. To have so many people turn out in costume to raise money for our chosen charity, Sue Ryder, was a brilliant effort.”
