Expert: Jennifer Winyard is new chair of the Yorkshire and North East branch of Women in Property
The new chair of the Yorkshire and North East branch of Women in Property is our very own strategic land and planning manager, Jennifer Winyard.
Jennifer (30), who lives in Leeds, will take a leading role in the professional and networking group of which she has been a member for the last seven years.
She is immersed in the local property scene as she is also vice-chair of the Royal Town Planning Institute’s Yorkshire Regional Activities Committee and a member of its Regional Management Board.
Jennifer explained: “Women in Property is a networking and professional development organisation, now in its 27th year supporting women working in the property and construction disciplines.
“This starts with school visits when our members encourage girls to consider a career in the industry, and includes our links with universities and our highly acclaimed National Student Award programme and continues to work for women at every level in their working life.
“Members have the benefit of professional and social networking events, WiP’s successful mentoring programme, nominations for awards and, as they become more senior, guidance in securing boardroom roles.”
