New homes are being packed with eco-friendly energy efficiency measures at our South West region’s Home @ Heartlands development near Redruth, Cornwall.
The houses and apartments boast increased levels of insulation and triple glazed windows to keep heat loss to a minimum, plus a high efficiency boiler and photovoltaic solar panels for residents to generate their own electricity.
Smart metering and energy display devices let households keep track of how much power they use, while energy efficient lighting and glazing maximise natural daylight. There is even natural rainwater collection for garden use.
Linden Homes South West sales and marketing director Brian Deacon explained: “Home @ Heartlands is a very special development – not only is it in the heart of the regeneration area of Heartlands but it’s also creating high quality homes which are very energy efficient.
“At Home @ Heartlands, the properties are being built to Code for Sustainable Homes level 4, which is much higher than average. This means the homes are more energy efficient and eco-friendly which will have a positive impact on your energy bills and carbon footprint.”
The show home launches on Saturday November 23rd and will give visitors the chance to see the difference the technology can make.
