Our Kingston Mills development has been shortlisted for best restoration project in the Sunday Times British Homes Awards 2012.
The honour is one of two which the project in Bradford-on-Avon could claim when the winners are announced later in September. As well as the conversion, restoration or refurbishment category, it is up for recognition in the mixed-use section too.
The development being delivered by our western region comprises apartments and homes, shops, restaurants and public open space, and is reviving this section of the beautiful River Avon which winds through the town.
One block of apartments also features eco-friendly air source heat pumps to cut residents’ energy bills and their carbon footprint.
Linden Homes Group has also been shortlisted in the same competition for more silverware as Homebuilder of the Year. Winning it would add to the Housebuilder of the Year title it won in the Building magazine awards in June.
Linden Homes Western sales director Adrian Bird said: “We’re honoured Kingston Mills has been shortlisted for this prestigious prize, and I think the quality of the development speaks for itself.
“Getting it right is imperative for this kind of site, whose potential is so great it would be a shame to waste. Residents are going to love living here and I think it will prove to be a real asset to Bradford-on-Avon.”
Wherever possible we source our bricks from the UK.
Linden Homes has contributed over £12.8 million towards outdoor open areas throughout the UK since 2010.
