Our zero-carbon Graylingwell Park development in Chichester proved a hit with housing professionals who came from the West Country for a guided tour.
The group from Westco Properties Ltd, part of the Devon and Cornwall Housing Association, visited the site during a trip around several other developments in the Guildford region, and were impressed with its eco-friendly features.
Graylingwell Park is the largest zero-carbon scheme in the UK and has its own combined heat and energy centre, 1,812 square metres of solar panels, an off-site wind turbine and comprehensive home insulation.
Set within 85 acres of parkland, it features a community garden and will also have an orchard, farm shop and community hall, plus commercial space and artists’ studios.
Westco Properties Ltd director Richard Connelly said: “We were very impressed with the very high quality, as well as the enthusiasm of residents and all the team involved, from the sales staff to the employee responsible for the heat and power plant.”
Linden Homes Guildford managing director Peter Youll said: “We are very proud of Graylingwell Park, which is leading the way in eco-friendly housing, and delighted to get such good comments from our visitors.”
