We’re taking part in a special event for local contractors to find out about how they can benefit from a £10.5 million housing development in north-east Derbyshire.
Linden Homes’ parent company, Galliford Try, has been chosen to transform two sites in Eckington and Killamarsh by replacing nearly 100 post-war pre-fab bungalows with 129 quality modern homes.
The project is in partnership with North East Derbyshire District Council and Rykneld Homes. As well as providing much-needed housing it will be a major economic boost for the area.
Our team will be at a special drop-in event at Westthorpe Business Innovation Centre in Killamarsh on May 23rd where people can find out more about the procurement process and available contracts, such as brickwork, carpentry, plumbing and landscaping.
The council’s member with responsibility for housing, Cllr Betty Hill, said: “We are keen to ensure that the benefit to the community is as wide as possible, and so together with Rykneld Homes have worked in partnership with Galliford Try Partnerships to encourage local firms to apply for the opportunities which are available.”
Linden Homes has contributed over £12.8 million towards outdoor open areas throughout the UK since 2010.
Linden Homes has contributed over £47.7 million to education throughout the UK since 2010.
